The purpose of this course is to give learners a firm foundation in listening, reading and writing skills. Learners will work through the writing process by engaging in a variety of writing activities including, paragraphs, essays and summaries. They will also learn how to argue their ideas effectively by conducting research and by citing references in order to substantiate their ideas.
