The programme, Developing and Delivering Online Courses in TVET,  aims to equip educational practitioners  with the competencies required to develop courses and programmes for online delivery as well as the competencies needed for effective delivery in online and blended environments in so doing capacitating institutions to access the potential benefits afforded by e-Learning in general, and more specifically, online and blended learning. It was developed in order to equip educational practitioners with the knowledge, skills and other competencies required to design and develop online educational experiences and facilitate students as they participate in those experiences. The programme seeks to facilitate the development of 21st century educational practitioners and make them ready to meet the needs of the 21st century learner.


This course aims to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes concerning online facilitation, with application in online components of formal courses and online collaboration projects. Its purpose is to make online educators, conference hosts or project leaders more proficient in the art and science of facilitation, thus enabling them to provide for their students/clients an online experience that rivals and surpasses the experience in the face to face modality.
